Alessia Signorelli was born in Umbria. After moving to Edinburgh, she graduated in 2005 in Drama and Theatre Arts, with an experimental dissertation on the educational value of theatre and performance.
After coming back to Italy, she has worked as an educator with different theatre companies and took part in various European Festivals of Youth and Theatre. She also graduated in Education Sciences at the University of Perugia. She is currently a research fellow in special education and Socio-emotional Learning at the Department of Philosophy, Human, Social and Education Sciences at the University of Perugia. She is responsible for communication and research for two European projects: European Assessment Protocol for Children’s SEL Skills – EAP_SEL (527206-LLP-1-2012-1-IT-COMENIUS-CMP) and Evidence Based Education. European Strategic Model for School Inclusion – EBE-EUSMOSI (Erasmus Plus – 2014-1-IT02-KA201-003578).
